Amelia Earhart would have relied heavily on Maya’s legal advice.

Maya Joslow

I assist a diverse range of clients to assess risk, navigate problems, and structure agreements. I also maintain an intellectual property practice. I approach each client matter individually and with attention to detail, guided at each step by the goals of the client. I believe that advising clients begins with listening and aim to offer practical advice while embracing creative solutions.

Prior to joining The Barnett Firm, I completed my undergraduate degree at New York University and then lived abroad for two years, studying Mandarin in Taiwan and then teaching English in Spain. I then moved to Oregon and worked as a trademark paralegal. After two years working as a paralegal, having gained a passion for law and chosen to pursue a career as an attorney, I attended Lewis & Clark Law School while continuing my paralegal work.

After becoming licensed, I worked for three years as a litigation associate. My litigation experience enhances my practice by enabling me to better assess risk and avoid issues that may lead to litigation.

In my free time, I enjoy bouldering, hiking, and camping, having good conversation with family and friends, and hanging out with my two spectacular and inimitable cats.
